Ontario Ombudsman assumes responsibility for complaints and concerns

Image of Ombudsman's staffEffective May 1, the Ontario Child Advocate’s Office has been closed, and its complaint resolution function has been transferred to the Ontario Ombudsman’s Office. If you are a young person (or a person of any age) with a concern about services provided by a children’s aid society, foster home, group home or secure treatment program, you can contact the Ombudsman from May 1, 2019 onwards to have your complaint addressed or questions answered. We encourage our own service recipients to follow our complaint procedure, which you can find at this link. Visit www.ombudsman.on.ca for more information.
