October 24 is Ontario Dress Purple Day

Wear Purple on October 24 to raise awareness about the rights of children and youth to safety and well-being, and the responsibility of adults and community services to help children, youth, and families who need support. On Ontario Dress Purple Day,  children’s aid societies across the province join together with our key partners, Boards of Education, schools, and child care centres and homes, to share this positive message that help is available and to celebrate the community that cares for kids and families. Many schools in Hamilton will be participating.

Take photos of yourself wearing purple, and post them to Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #IBreakTheSilence, and be sure to tag us @hamiltonccas.
