Happy Birthday to us!

Today is our birthday! On October 30, 1953, we were granted our official charter to operate as an independent child welfare agency. It took us some time to get things up and running, but by 1954, we had 3 staff and a $27,000 budget. That compares to today, when we have 180 staff and a $24 million budget. Cannabis legalization: keeping kids safe

Cannabis legalization arrives today, making it legal for individuals 19 years of age and older to buy, use, possess and grow recreational cannabis in Ontario.  As a child welfare organization, keeping cannabis out of the hands of youth, and keeping kids safe, is of utmost importance. Check out our webpage on this issue, for more information and resources.
