Foster Care
Giving Children Stable and Caring Homes
The Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton strives to keep children living with their families whenever possible. Unfortunately, even after receiving counseling and help, some parents can't provide their children with adequate care. In situations like these, children may be brought into the care of the Catholic Children's Aid Society (CCAS).
Become a foster parent and brighten a child’s life.
What is foster care?
- An alternate and temporary home
- A caring and supportive family environment
- The Society assumes guardianship while child is in care
- The goal is to return child to natural family, when ever possible
- When child is unable to return to family, adoption/permanent plans are made
