Please join us for the Hamilton launch of a new book published by the Children in Limbo Task Force called Children at the Centre: Their right to truth and voice. Featuring articles by child welfare professionals and young people with lived experience, this publication will be of interest to anyone working in child health and welfare with an interest in keeping the voice of the child at the forefront of their practice.

The launch will feature a number of the authors speaking to their areas of specialty, including: Irwin Elman (former Ontario Child Advocate), Mira Pilch, Gitte Granofsky, Dr. Sally Palmer, Pat Convery, Dr. Gail Aitken, and Ingrid Palmer. There will be time for questions and networking. Books will be available for sale for $20.

RSVPs are required and can be provided by emailing Fil D'Amico by October 15.

We are hosting this launch in conjunction with our 2019 Dress Purple Day campaign, which raises awareness about the role that adults and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families. Ontario Dress Purple Day is October 24.
